The collection of the National Kyiv-Pechersk Historical and Cultural Preserve contains more than 70,000 artefacts, including 9,000 items with precious metals and precious stones. All objects belonging to the collection of the museum have been inventoried under the following storage categories:

 Painting: includes Ukrainian and Russian 16th-20th century religious iconography with works by masters from Volyn, Galicia, Chernihiv and Kyiv regions (including the icon painting school of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra);



Portrait: mostly includes portraits of clerics from the 18th to the 20th century (metropolitans and archimandrites);

Sculpture: mainly consists of religious objects and interior decoration carved elements from 17th-20th century churches;

Architecture Monument and Icon: contains icons from the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra churches and unique 17th century frescoes from the Church of the Saviour at Berestove;

Graphic: mainly contains 16th-20th century drawings by Western masters and engravings prints from the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra and Pochaviv Lavra;

Metal: contains mostly 12th-20th century religious and secular objects, including a significant number of works by Ukrainian artists. The collection boasts such unique artefacts as the cross of the Metropolitan of Kyiv St. Makarios (1497) and the cross of Sergius of Radonezh from the 14th century;


Book: holds 16th-18th century early books printed by the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra and other printers in Ukraine;

Stereotype: includes printers from the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra and Pochayiv Lavra;

Textile: The basis of the collection consists of 16th–20th century sacred textiles, including the belongings of Hetmans, military commanders and Cossacks;

Archive: includes archival records reflecting the history of the monastery and Preserve from the 17th to the 20th century;

Plans: includes plans of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, buildings and structures, underground tunnels, other territories of Ukraine from the 17th to the early 20th century;

Archaeology: includes archaeological artefacts from the 11th to the 18th century found at excavation sites on the territory of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra and Pechersk district of Kyiv;

Building materials: consists of fragments of plastering, plinthite and brick from the 11th to the 20th century;

Photograph: includes photographs that depict the history of the Lavra and the Preserve throughout the 19th and 20th centuries, images of museum objects from the collections of the Preserve from the 1920s;

Negatives: includes photographs of museum artefacts from the Preserve collection from the time of its founding and other objects.
